書中所提到的「element」， 被翻譯成天賦， 其實並非只是「與生俱來的天分」。因為一項天賦，必須經過4 個自我檢視與實踐的試煉──天資（aptitude）、熱情（passion）、態度（attitude）以及機會（opportunity），才能到達所謂的「天賦自由」。
